Fuck you.

Flu

For the last week I have stayed home sick and tried to get rid of the most aggressive flu I have had since childhood. I had to close my shop because of that and spend pretty much all my time sleeping or just laying on the bed.
I'm still not well, but at least I got rid of the fever.

Dogs felt tired also. The spring sun made Iines yawn.
On Wednesday when coming home from health center I stopped by to our local flea market to see if there was anything to cheer me up. And there was! 3 pretty glass jars I immediately had to take with me.
Also got mail from ASOS... Black wet-look leggings and Blondie necklace!!!

And what comes to my February challenge, I have managed to stay in schedule despite of being sick, out of my daily rythm and also very tired all the time. Yay me!!

Transformation Challenge 2009

There will be lots of changes in my life coming this year so when I saw the iCiNG Transformation Challenge 2009, I decided I'll take part by improving my life with some smaller things. The challenge is for the whole February and my challenge is to change my daily routine.

Untill now, my routine has been this:
-Alarm clock rings 9:00am
-Snoozing about 1 h
-Get up 10:00
-Get dressed in hurry, add some make up (or take make-up bag with me at work and do the make-up there), do my hair or put a hat on
-Take 2 out of 3 dogs out for a quick pee
-Feed those 2
-Take the one, that hasn't been out yet with you to work
-Try to make it to the bus/tram stop before you are late
-Work from 11:00 am to 7:00pm
-Go home
(-Take 2 dogs out if they haven't been out yet)
-Watch TV or waist life in front of computer
-Eat
-Shower
-Take dogs out
-Go to sleep around midnight
So not very intresting life but where to get some extra hours? After work I'm tired and I need that do-nothing-time in front on TV also.

My only option to change this is to wake up earlier in the morning. I don't necessarily NEED to do anything in the morning, but at least I could enjoy some lazy morning breakfast (includes to the second part of my Transformation Challenge), maybe do some hooping or long walk with a dog / dogs.

Transformation Challenge 2009 for me is:
1. Wake up earlier to enjoy the day
2. Eat healthier and don't be like a pig when it comes to eating (I eat WAY TOO MUCH!)But how can I accomplis these goals? For many people these are very simple tasks, but for me they aren't. I'm super sleepy and cranky in the mornings and I need lots of sleep. I also have huge sweet tooth and big cravings for yummy salty foods. I like healthy food, but the time I'm hungry I can only think about some unhealthy, high energy fatty foods.

This is what I have planned:
At first my goal for the first week is to wake up at 9:00 o'clock. I go to sleep at 10:00 pm or at latest 11:00 pm. I start my morning with some light but healthy breakfast so I don't upset my body which isn't used to food in the mornings. That will propably be some joghurt, juice, porige, fruit or sandwitch. I take the mornings easy and try to be in time at work.

After one week I try to wake up more early 8:30 or 8:00 depending on how difficult the first week was. And depending on the time I have then, I add the morning hooping to my schedule, or longer walk with one or two dogs.

At work I try to eat something small in every 2 hours, so that I don't even get to the point where I could eat everything that is brought in front of me. And no HUGE meals at home in the evening, only some small snacks like sandwitch, fruit, veggies and dip,.. I'm not going to avoid fat, sugar or other unhealthy things neuroticly, my point is to get me eating regularily so that I won't be so ridiculously hungry all the time.

So this is my challenge for the next month. I will report in here how it goes, wish me luck!

Sorry

My deepest apologies to all my readers for the lack of posting lately. I'm still (barely) alive and kicking, but my head is so full of confusing things that I don't seem to have energy to post anything fun.
I hope to change that soon, but please be patient.

To brighten up my days though, I have read other blogs to get me inspired of anything really. Now my passion lies in decorating and I have drooled lovely homes around the internet and made some plans of my own. Here're few pics that inspire me.
Basicly white and bright colors seem to attract me now, but I haven't forgot about the greys and browns either. I'm waiting anxiously for the spring to arrive, so maybe that's why I'm so drawn to colors again.
The first and last pic I can't remember where they are from, but the 2nd is from All_About_Eve and the 3rd is from Moko website.

Chairs!

After founding Eero Aarnio plastic chair from dumpster last spring, I have been paying more attention to chairs. Before that I was never into chairs and even got rid of our kitchen table and chairs and replaced them with 2 high bar chairs and a bar table.
Some of the ones I'd like to have are sadly bit more pricey, but at least it's fun to dream about them or at least find ispiration out of them if I ever have a room to get more chairs.. And I can always keep my eyes open and hope to find something fun out of other people's trash!

Arne Jacobsen: Egg chair! ♥ 100 years edition I think..?
Charles and Ray Eames Plastic Chair.
I also like the arm chair version. The rocker isn't so much of my thing but it looks nice in other peoples houses.

Eames: Lounge chair. So ugly that it's cool.

Harry Bertoia: Wire Side Chair is a fun one too.
This one isn't a design chair, but I like it. It's actually from IKEA and everytime I go there I go and try one of these Tirup chairs, but never buy one.. I think they are bit too expensive to be "only from IKEA".

P.S. Almost forgot! We found a Eero Aarnio Pastil Chair from internet auction. It's propably some rare color (or we got screwed..). I will post pics of it later. Need more natural light to get the real color to the pic..

What have I been doing lately..

Trying to make my face look more glowy and young by using these serums from Lumene.
The pink bottle is actually for +40 years, but I decided to play it safe and hope it works more effectively than the ones ment for people my age. :D
And this one is from Lumene too and only +25. Should make the darkness and bags under eyes disapear. Fun to use as it's a roll-on stick!
And then... HOOPING! Bought a purple-white hula hoop from Toys 'R Us as an impuls purchase after Gala Darling from iCiNG introduced her readers to this super funny "sport".
At fist it was really difficult! But then I started to get a hang of it and now I have been hooping every day and have really sore abs and ribs so it must work!

I'm not very good yet, but getting there! I haven't worked out for so long that it takes time to find those long gone muscles hiding under my skin.

Have a great weekend!
