Transformation Challenge 2009

There will be lots of changes in my life coming this year so when I saw the iCiNG Transformation Challenge 2009, I decided I'll take part by improving my life with some smaller things. The challenge is for the whole February and my challenge is to change my daily routine.

Untill now, my routine has been this:
-Alarm clock rings 9:00am
-Snoozing about 1 h
-Get up 10:00
-Get dressed in hurry, add some make up (or take make-up bag with me at work and do the make-up there), do my hair or put a hat on
-Take 2 out of 3 dogs out for a quick pee
-Feed those 2
-Take the one, that hasn't been out yet with you to work
-Try to make it to the bus/tram stop before you are late
-Work from 11:00 am to 7:00pm
-Go home
(-Take 2 dogs out if they haven't been out yet)
-Watch TV or waist life in front of computer
-Eat
-Shower
-Take dogs out
-Go to sleep around midnight
So not very intresting life but where to get some extra hours? After work I'm tired and I need that do-nothing-time in front on TV also.

My only option to change this is to wake up earlier in the morning. I don't necessarily NEED to do anything in the morning, but at least I could enjoy some lazy morning breakfast (includes to the second part of my Transformation Challenge), maybe do some hooping or long walk with a dog / dogs.

Transformation Challenge 2009 for me is:
1. Wake up earlier to enjoy the day
2. Eat healthier and don't be like a pig when it comes to eating (I eat WAY TOO MUCH!)But how can I accomplis these goals? For many people these are very simple tasks, but for me they aren't. I'm super sleepy and cranky in the mornings and I need lots of sleep. I also have huge sweet tooth and big cravings for yummy salty foods. I like healthy food, but the time I'm hungry I can only think about some unhealthy, high energy fatty foods.

This is what I have planned:
At first my goal for the first week is to wake up at 9:00 o'clock. I go to sleep at 10:00 pm or at latest 11:00 pm. I start my morning with some light but healthy breakfast so I don't upset my body which isn't used to food in the mornings. That will propably be some joghurt, juice, porige, fruit or sandwitch. I take the mornings easy and try to be in time at work.

After one week I try to wake up more early 8:30 or 8:00 depending on how difficult the first week was. And depending on the time I have then, I add the morning hooping to my schedule, or longer walk with one or two dogs.

At work I try to eat something small in every 2 hours, so that I don't even get to the point where I could eat everything that is brought in front of me. And no HUGE meals at home in the evening, only some small snacks like sandwitch, fruit, veggies and dip,.. I'm not going to avoid fat, sugar or other unhealthy things neuroticly, my point is to get me eating regularily so that I won't be so ridiculously hungry all the time.

So this is my challenge for the next month. I will report in here how it goes, wish me luck!

Good luck with you plans!

I am okay with getting up early, I will have to be at my new Job at 8:30am, so who knows when I will have to get up in april!

Going to bed earlier helps I think, I just need my 8 hours of sleep- at least! haha...

I think my thing is always to just get up without even thinking about sleeping longer...but it doesnt always help!
